1/2 cup to 1 cup of chopped Papaya
2 cups Milk (nut-based or regular)
1/2 a frozen or fresh banana
Handful of hemp seeds
Touch of maple syrup (or preferred sweetener)
Voila! Liquado de papaya. Papaya (or pawpaw as we called it in South Africa where I grew up) is high in both Vitamins A and C. I add hemp seeds as they are a good balance of protein and essential fatty acids so they add some gusto to this delicious beverage. I like the flavour the seeds add and most people digest them well. Play around with the amount of papaya/milk ratio that works for you.
